Who we are

Stittsville Garage Doors (“we”, “us”) is a local garage door repair and installation business serving Stittsville, ON and the surrounding west Ottawa area. We can be reached by phone at (613) 777-6401 or by email at stittsvillegd@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect the information you give us directly:

• When you call or text us: your phone number (from caller ID), your name, and the details you choose to share about the job (address, symptoms, brand of opener, etc.).
• When you submit the quote form on this website: your name, phone number, street address or neighbourhood, the description of the problem, and your preferred call-back time. We do not ask for, store, or process payment information through the website.
• When you visit the website: basic anonymous traffic information (pages visited, approximate region, browser type) collected through Vercel’s built-in privacy-friendly analytics. This does not identify individual visitors and is not sold or shared.

How we use it

• To respond to your quote request and arrange a visit.
• To follow up after the job — e.g. confirming a warranty or checking the door is still operating correctly.
• To keep a basic service history (date, address, parts installed) for warranty and tax-record purposes.
• To improve the website (which pages are useful, which neighbourhoods are searching for us, etc.).

We do not send marketing email, newsletters, or promotional text messages. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Service providers we use

We use a small number of third-party services that may process your information on our behalf:

• Formspree — receives quote-form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosts the website and provides anonymous analytics. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
• Google — only when an embedded Google Map is displayed on the contact page; Google may collect information per its privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Quote-form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as we may need them for warranty, follow-up, or tax-record purposes (typically up to seven years, in line with Canadian record-keeping requirements). You can ask us to delete your record at any time by emailing stittsvillegd@gmail.com.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site running and to power its anonymous analytics; these do not identify you personally.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario provincial privacy law, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it if we no longer need it for the original purpose.

To exercise any of these rights, email stittsvillegd@gmail.com with the request and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The website and our services are intended for property owners and renters, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
